You’ve heard there’s no place like home, but the truth is, there’s no place like YOUR home. If you’re thinking of buying a new EG home or are about to start the building process, you’ve probably done some homework. Because we want to provide you with as much information about EG Home as possible, we thought you’d be interested in the answers to common questions that come up when people are exploring builders and their options.
Here are the most commonly asked questions from other EG Home new home buyers, just like you!
1 | How many years has EG Home been in business? How many homes have they built?
Nearly a decade.
We have sold and built over 200 homes.
2 | How do I buy a new home if I need to sell my current home?
A variety of financing options are available to help you achieve your goal. Some of our home buyers prefer to sell first and rent, or move temporarily while the home is being built.
3 | What kind of new home warranty does EG Home offer?
There is a full one-year warranty, along with other warranties, including: 6-year structural, 40-year roof shingles, 10-year damp proofing, etc.
4 | How quickly can I move into my new home?
About 10-12 months from signing a purchase agreement. (Unless you choose a Quick Move-in home.)
5 | What’s the quality assurance process throughout the construction of my home?
There are regular building inspections throughout the building process, and consistent updates from the sales team after construction meetings.
6 | How often (and when) will I have access to the home during the building process?
There is a scheduled walkthrough with the Construction team before drywall goes up, and a Homeowner Orientation Walk before closing. Other visits can be scheduled with the sales and construction team if you need measurements or updates.
7 | How many Model Homes do you have available for viewing? What are the hours?
Hours are by appointment only. Some completed models and some under construction homes can be walked through with members of our team.
8 | If I’m interested in a particular new home or community, what do I do next?
