When it comes to the process of buying and building a home, having an incredible team on your side makes all the difference. We’re excited to introduce you to one of our newer team members, Jorge Conza, our Construction Manager at Trailside Reserve and Chatfield Farms.
What’s your relationship with EG Home? What do you love most about working here?
I am a construction manager. My job is to oversee the different stages of construction in building our homes for our customers. I began working here at EG Home this past March and it has been an honor to be a part of this team.
What inspires you in your work?
I am inspired by my great team. Their dedication to building the best homes for our customers challenges me to work my best every day.
What do you wish other people knew about EG Home?
I wish people knew that EG Home really does work together as a second family that strives to build homes beyond our customer’s expectations. Every team member is passionate in their work and provides the best of the best!
Where did you grow up? Tell us about your family.
I grew up in South America, in the small country of Ecuador. I lived there from early childhood to my late teens and then immigrated here to the Northeast for greater opportunities. Since then, I’ve married my wife and had a daughter, who is now a high school student. We also have our fluffy companion, Coco, who is a big part of our family. We reside by the shoreline of Connecticut.
How do you spend your free time? What do you do to relax?
As an outdoors man, I love kayaking down rivers, bike riding in the forest, and hiking great trails. Being outside in the sun is a great pastime, but most importantly is having that time well spent with family. Nothing feels better than cooling off with the people most important in my life.
What will someone be surprised to know about you?
Ever since I was a kid, I have wanted to become a pilot. I even studied to become one for a short while, back in my home country.

I admire my father. His persistent dedication, quality work, and passion to create things have been traits that I have picked up from working alongside him.
