Kyler Barbarisi began his career with EG Home right out of high school as a laborer at Chatfield Farms. While working, he pursued his studies at Porter and Chester Institute to become an electrician, but his passion for construction and eagerness to learn kept him committed to EG Home.

Over time, Kyler’s strong relationships with the trades and his extensive hands-on experience naturally led him to the role of Assistant Construction Manager. Today, as a Construction Manager, Kyler is responsible for overseeing the building of our communities, ensuring each project is completed with precision and care.

Kyler embodies the core value of “Work Hard,” earning the respect and trust of his colleagues and solidifying his role as a key member of our construction team.

Chris, our Vice President, brings more than 20 years of experience in construction management, senior leadership and technical expertise in the acquisition, design, planning, and execution of major, high-dollar residential construction. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the home building business and has managed the completion of more than 1,000 homes during his career. Chris has also received several HOBI awards during his career, including “Best Home Selling Solution”, “Best Small Attached Community”, “Best Energy Efficient Townhome Community”, “Best New Haven County Townhouse”, and “Best Attached Home under 2,000 sq-ft”. In addition to managing company operations, Chris has been spearheading product development and managing the launch our newest community, Old Mystic Estates.

Chris currently resides in Watertown Connecticut with his wife and two daughters. When not working Chris enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. Chris is also a devoted SPARTAN fan; he earned a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University.

Chris’ leadership and dedication sets the tone for the work we do every day, and we are thrilled to have him on our team!

Sydney is an Assistant Construction Manager with EG Home. She holds an Associates degree in Architectural Engineering and is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. Based in eastern Connecticut, she works on notable projects such as Old Mystic Estates and the Enclave at Barn Island.

With experience in estimating and project management, she is on-site every day, coordinating with trade partners and vendors to ensure each home is built to the highest standards of quality. When Sydney is not with our trade partners she is walking our homeowners through our seamless home building process.

Sydney takes pride in delivering homes that future homeowners will love. When she’s not on the job, she enjoys spending time with family, snowboarding, or relaxing by the pool. Her passion for construction and dedication to excellence make her a valuable part of the team.

Chris is a Construction Manager at EG Home, where he has worked since 2023. With over 20 years of experience as a carpenter, Chris brings a deep passion for the trade and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. In his role, he manages Assistant Construction Managers, trade partners, vendors, and oversees all aspects of ground-up construction.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys gardening, reading comic books, and spending quality time with his three daughters. His dedication to both his profession and personal passions makes him a valued member of the EG Home team.

Kristin joined EG Home as a Purchasing Agent, bringing 10 years of experience in purchasing. Transitioning from a national production homebuilder, she is excited to work with new products and driven to enhance processes that simplify home construction while ensuring precision and efficiency.

Kristin graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Health Studies. During her final semester, she collaborated with a local nonprofit to create and implement Sisterhood, a program designed to help young women develop social and life skills in a safe, supportive environment.

A proud Texas native, Kristin lives with her husband and three children. While her kids keep her on the go—whether it’s cheering at volleyball games or running them to activities—she also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. She’s always looking forward to the next beach vacation or family outing.

With over 30 years of experience in new home sales, construction, and master-planned community development, Lori Civitillo is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the residential real estate industry. Her expertise spans across every aspect of the homebuilding process, from initial design to sales and community development. Lori is known for her commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and her strategic approach to creating vibrant, sustainable communities.

Alex Cole joined our team as a Laborer five months ago, bringing with him a strong work ethic and a diverse range of skills. In his current role, Alex is responsible for keeping the job site clean and assisting his team members with various tasks. His dedication to the job is matched by his passion for flying airplanes and his background in aviation.
Before joining us, Alex pursued studies in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) and earned certification as a CNA. His education in criminology and security, combined with his hands-on experience, reflect his broad skill set.
Alex is also a former All-American in steeplechase, and outside of work, he enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, flying airplanes, fishing, and playing basketball. His unique blend of skills and interests makes him a well-rounded individual who brings a lot to the table.

I am Jorge Conza, and I’m thrilled to be part of EG Home Group. My journey in the construction industry began in 2004,though my passion for design and building started earlier when I studied graphics and drawing at a community college in Ecuador, my home country.

In the early 2000s, I moved to the USA, driven by my interest in learning and working in the building industry. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several companies that shaped my career:

With over seven years of experience at EG Home, Ericka has been a driving force in the company’s growth, starting as an office assistant and advancing to the role of Conveyance Manager. Having also served as the Warranty and Customer Care Manager, Ericka brings a wealth of knowledge and a customer-first mindset to all aspects of the business.
Ericka is passionate about the collaborative culture at EG Home, where team members are always willing to teach and learn from each other. “Our team’s great success comes from being open to sharing knowledge and supporting each other,” says Ericka. With over 7 years of experience at EG Home, Max Dolan has grown alongside the company, beginning as an assistant construction manager in its early days. Through hands-on training and experience, he has developed a deep understanding of all aspects of construction management, from working with the sales and purchasing teams to collaborating with the construction and leadership teams. Today, as a Project Manager, Max takes great pride in transforming blueprints into the dream homes of homeowners, all while ensuring quality and precision.
Max works closely with trade partners and team members on a daily basis across multiple project sites throughout the state, consistently striving to deliver high-quality homes that align with EG Home’s core values. His dedication to excellence and commitment to teamwork drives the company’s success, and he looks forward to continuing to contribute as the company grows in the years ahead.

David is a 1997 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Upon commissioning he entered Special Operations community and transitioned to Special Warfare. Serving as a SEAL, David deployed to Latin-America and the Middle East leading teams of SEALS and supporting units during both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. David was decorated with numerous campaign and personal awards including the Bronze Star. Following his 10-year career in the Navy, David attended The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and earned his MBA. Upon graduation David purchased a small Underwater Construction Company in Hammonton, NJ, under his leadership Walker Diving has grown 5x in revenue and is the leading Diving Services and Underwater Construction company in and around the greater New Your City area. David splits his time between Haddonfield, NJ and Virginia Beach, VA with his wife Catherine and four daughters.

Brad started with EG Home as an Assistant Construction Manager and has now moved over to the Land Development department.  He is an experienced and detail-oriented manager with extensive hands-on expertise in residential and commercial remodeling. Adept at overseeing and executing a wide range of projects, from simple repairs to large-scale builds, Brad specializes in working with sub-contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. With a strong foundation in carpentry and other trades, Brad brings a well-rounded skill set to every project, fostering clear communication and seamless coordination between clients, teams, and stakeholders. With that commitment to excellence and attention to detail, Brad has driven successful project outcomes across Connecticut.

Rich began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), working with a variety of multinational consumer and industrial companies. After his tenure at PwC, he focused his energy on early-stage and high-growth organizations, gaining extensive expertise in all aspects of business operations. Rich was responsible for all financial and administrative functions at a business-to-business healthcare company that grew to serve nearly ten million individuals before it was acquired. Prior to joining EG Home, Rich most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at a hypergrowth SaaS fintech in the Wealth Management industry.

In his role as Vice President of Finance & Administration at EG Home, Rich oversees all accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, facilities, and administrative functions. Rich aims to build on a culture of excellence and collaboration by fostering open and honest communication to drive both team performance and company growth.

Rich and his wife live in Southbury, where they raised their family. Their three adult children are scattered across New England, and his heart is full whenever they are all together. Rich enjoys the outdoors and has completed several notable events, including the Philly Marathon and many Ragnar Runs. His all-time favorite was running Rim2Rim in the Grand Canyon. He has a passion for cooking and is happiest when enjoying life with family and friends.

Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Upon graduation from Villanova University 1997, Matt was commissioned in the United States Navy as a Special Operations Officer. He served for 9 years, spending the majority of his deployed time in the Middle East and Africa leading a team of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians (Bomb Squad) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Matt was decorated with numerous campaigns and personal awards including the Bronze Star with V for Valor. In 2006 Matt chose to pursue a civilian career building homes and Matt spent six years learning the business from two of the country's biggest production builders., KB Home and Toll Brothers. He lives with his wife Amy and four children in Southbury, CT.

Margo Gomez serves as the Starts Coordinator for EG Home, where she plays a vital role in organizing, planning, and overseeing various aspects of the pre-construction process. Her focus is on ensuring the timely and efficient achievement of project goals. Margo’s commitment to excellence and organizational skills help streamline operations and ensure successful project launches.
Before joining EG Home, Margo honorably served in the United States Marine Corps, where she developed a strong foundation in leadership and discipline. She also worked as an Academic Program Specialist in higher education, further honing her skills in communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
Margo values teamwork, effective communication, and continuous growth, both personally and professionally. Outside of work, she is passionate about refurbishing furniture, home renovations, and spending quality time with her family. Before joining EG Home, D.J. worked as an operations manager for an HVAC and plumbing company. Now that he's made his move to residential construction, his job encompasses four things he's both knowledgeable and passionate about: land development, architectural design, energy efficiency, and process improvement. When it comes to his role, D.J. says he's most excited about advancing our technology platform so that all departments can communicate better — which is no surprise, considering that D.J. is constantly looking for innovative ways to connect our team and make our jobs more efficient. With his hands in a little bit of everything, from real estate transactions and home design to planning, our processes become stronger every day. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he said 'communicating with all departments and making their lives easier.' When he's not in the office, you can most likely find D.J. enjoying the great outdoors, whether he's playing ultimate frisbee and disc golf or backpacking, and spending quality time with his two beautiful sons. As a Sales Assistant, Mike Helmuth helps families find—and create—their dream homes. Drawing on twenty years of professional experience understanding clients’ needs, building trust, and delivering tailored solutions, Mike enjoys guiding homebuyers through EG Home’s straightforward process. Personally committed to energy-efficiency and sustainability, he lives in a solar-powered home and is passionate about smart building practices. Outside of work, Mike volunteers at Stratton Mountain Resort as a patroller and enjoys spending time with friends, and his wife and dog.

Jason’s career is rooted in excellence, with an extensive background in restaurant management. He specialized in new restaurant openings, staff training and development, and creating unparalleled customer service experiences. This foundation of leadership and hospitality translates seamlessly into his real estate career.

In Washington State, Jason built a thriving real estate business, continuing to serve his clients there on a referral basis. His peers elected him to serve on the Broker Advisory Board, a prestigious role requiring a two-year commitment. In this capacity, Jason played a vital role in interviewing prospective agents and organizing impactful fundraising events. These included Habitat for Humanity build days, backpack drives, and annual Community Service Days, all of which reflect his passion for giving back.

Aulona Klenja is an ambitious architectural designer who graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Tetovo in 2023 - North Macedonia. Mike brings more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry to his role as Service Manager. Mike started framing homes as a teenager and spent many years building his knowledge of homebuilding along the CT shoreline. Over the years Mike learned and experienced all aspects of home construction including electric, drywall, roofing, siding, interior trim and of course framing. Mike’s utilizes vast knowledge of construction to quickly identify and resolve most warranty requests.

Mike currently resides in Uncasville Connecticut with his beautiful wife. When not working he enjoys long rides with his wife on his Harley. He also enjoys golf and spending time with his grand kids!

With over 25 years of administrative experience, Laura Nelson plays a key role as the Executive Assistant supporting our President, Matthew Gilchrist and Leadership Team. Before joining us, Laura spent 12 years at Hologic, Inc. where she honed her skills as an Executive Assistant, consistently demonstrating efficiency and accountability in her work.

Chris joined EG Home in 2015 bringing 15 years of construction experience with him. His talents were immediately put to work on Chatfield Farms, developing Phases three through five. Chris helps EG Home grow by searching for and evaluating new land opportunities. Chris leads initial development and construction efforts on all our projects. A true utility player, Chris' experience leading large site development project and multi-family residential and commercial building projects for two national home builders. a public utility and general construction firm, allow him to fill a variety of roles. Chris is a 2000 graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he earned a BS degree in Industrial Technology and a Master of Science in Industrial Technical Management. Chris is a Wolcott native, and now resides in Oxford, CT with his wife and two sons. When not working Chris enjoys spending time with his family, boating and motocross riding.

Mike Pierce serves as a dedicated Laborer at EG Home, where he is committed to learning and growing within his role. He plays a crucial part in maintaining clean and organized construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both clients and colleagues. In addition to his core responsibilities, Mike frequently assists construction managers with daily tasks and eagerly embraces new challenges, including providing support to the service department.

David serves as a Sales Assistant for our company. He graduated from University of West Georgia with a BS in Economics and also from Georgia State University with a BA in Hospitality and Business Management. After many years in the Hospitality Industry working with top Hotel, Vacation Destinations and Catering Companies, in 2010 David decided it was time to venture into Real Estate. David grew up in Atlanta and lived in Grant Park for 24 years until recently moving to Lyme Connecticut. Prior to working at EG Homes, David helped to found a small Real Estate team in Atlanta where he won numerous awards and also named #28 in the top 100 Agents in Georgia in 2019.  David’s background is in hospitality, so he strives every day to give outstanding customer service to all clients. David is a smart and savvy agent who truly cares about his clients. He consistently goes above and beyond to make sure buyers find their perfect home, helps them to get acclimated to their new neighborhood and he is always there for them after the sale. 
In his free time David enjoys playing tennis and pickleball. He also enjoys being outdoors with his 3 dogs hiking in the various preserves around his home. 

Eva Schick is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in bookkeeping, human resources, and business ownership. Throughout her career, she has worked with a variety of clients across multiple industries. Eva's entrepreneurial spirit led her to create, open, and successfully grow a brick-and-mortar gift store, which expanded to three locations in Connecticut before being sold after 14 years.
Eva graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in Mathematics. She began her career in the accounting and human resources department of a pioneering software development company, where she honed her skills in financial management and HR functions.
Currently, at EG Home, Eva is responsible for all payroll and human resources operations. She played a key role in developing the company handbook and is actively implementing structured HR processes to support the organization’s growth.
Outside of her professional life, Eva enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, their four children, and her granddaughter. She is passionate about live music, traveling with friends, visiting unique vineyards and breweries, and attending PGA golf tournaments.

As Purchasing Manager at EG Home I bring over 20 years of extensive experience in the construction industry, including over a decade in leadership roles. I am passionate about optimizing our processes, managing relationships between departments and reducing budgets errors while embracing our core values.

Felicia Smith is a dedicated and results-driven Purchasing Agent with years of experience. Currently serving at EG Home, she is skilled in managing supplier relationships and optimizing purchasing processes to ensure cost efficiency and timely project completion. Prior to joining she has worked for large production home builders as a Purchasing Coordinator and a Vendor Cost Specialist.

Felicia is committed to continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry trends to enhance efficiency. Known for her attention to detail and problem-solving skills, she works diligently to play a vital role in supporting EG Home’s success in delivering quality construction projects.

Jack Surato is an Assistant Construction Manager at the Reserve at Stonebridge Crossing in Cheshire. He is excited to learn more about the home building process including EG Home's energy Efficient home building process. He is excited and eager to learn as much as he can and make an impact at EG. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors and has a great passion for fishing. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and friends and family.

Born in 1969, I grew up in the Fairfield County area and have spent nearly 35 years honing my carpentry skills. My passion for craftsmanship has been a driving force in both my professional and personal life. I am proud to have a beautiful 23-year-old daughter who continues to inspire me. Currently, I am thrilled to be a part of the EG Home team, where I can combine my extensive experience with my love for creating quality, functional spaces.

With her enthusiasm for the construction industry and willingness to help and learn, Kristie is a great addition to our accounts payable team. Kristie loves working with a team and making the construction process as seamless as possible. When she’s not assisting our team, Kristie enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the summer floating in the pool, and taking drives in her family’s classic cars. You can also find her at the football field, basketball court, or baseball diamond cheering on her two boys.

Susan Worth brings over 20 years of experience in residential design and project management to her role as Product Manager at EG Home. She excels in collaborating with Sales, Architectural, Design, and Purchasing teams to develop offerings that resonate with buyers. Her expertise extends to fostering strong relationships with trade partners and suppliers while ensuring product excellence — from innovative floor plans to refined finishes — that customers truly love.
A career highlight for Susan has been her instrumental role in the award-winning EG Home Design Center, a key differentiator among regional builders and a testament to her dedication to elevating customer experiences.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, practicing guitar and mandolin, and traveling with her husband, Craig.

Karen is an accomplished accounting professional who came to EG Home after taking 10 years away from accounting to raise her 2 kids. After graduating from Siena College, she began her career at IBM. At IBM she worked in many different areas of the business, including a year in internal audit which allowed her to travel, something she loves.  She continued her career at Gartner, Inc. in Stamford CT before leaving after the birth of her first child. Karen volunteered at her children’s elementary school in the classroom, at school activities, and in the school library.  She then worked at her town library where she enjoyed interacting with all the patrons and working with a wonderful staff.  As her kids grew and she looked to get back into accounting, she found EG Home through an IBM friend.  Karen started as a part time employee assisting in accounts payable, however she quickly established herself as a vital member of the team and now works full time managing all the Accounting Department all while loving a flexible schedule and her coworkers at EG Home.
