Chris, our Vice President, brings more than 20 years of experience in construction management, senior leadership and technical expertise in the acquisition, design, planning, and execution of major, high-dollar residential construction. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the home building business and has managed the completion of more than 1,000 homes during his career. Chris has also received several HOBI awards during his career, including “Best Home Selling Solution”, “Best Small Attached Community”, “Best Energy Efficient Townhome Community”, “Best New Haven County Townhouse”, and “Best Attached Home under 2,000 sq-ft”. In addition to managing company operations, Chris has been spearheading product development and managing the launch our newest community, Old Mystic Estates.
Chris currently resides in Watertown Connecticut with his wife and two daughters. When not working Chris enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. Chris is also a devoted SPARTAN fan; he earned a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University.
Chris’ leadership and dedication sets the tone for the work we do every day, and we are thrilled to have him on our team!
Chris joined EG Home in 2015 bringing 15 years of construction experience with him. His talents were immediately put to work on Chatfield Farms, developing Phases three through five. Chris helps EG Home grow by searching for and evaluating new land opportunities. Chris leads initial development and construction efforts on all our projects. A true utility player, Chris' experience leading large site development project and multi-family residential and commercial building projects for two national home builders. a public utility and general construction firm, allow him to fill a variety of roles. Chris is a 2000 graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he earned a BS degree in Industrial Technology and a Master of Science in Industrial Technical Management. Chris is a Wolcott native, and now resides in Oxford, CT with his wife and two sons. When not working Chris enjoys spending time with his family, boating and motocross riding.
Before joining EG Home, D.J. worked as an operations manager for an HVAC and plumbing company. Now that he's made his move to residential construction, his job encompasses four things he's both knowledgeable and passionate about: land development, architectural design, energy efficiency, and process improvement. When it comes to his role, D.J. says he's most excited about advancing our technology platform so that all departments can communicate better — which is no surprise, considering that D.J. is constantly looking for innovative ways to connect our team and make our jobs more efficient. With his hands in a little bit of everything, from real estate transactions and home design to planning, our processes become stronger every day. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he said 'communicating with all departments and making their lives easier.' When he's not in the office, you can most likely find D.J. enjoying the great outdoors, whether he's playing ultimate frisbee and disc golf or backpacking, and spending quality time with his two beautiful sons. All of us here want to thank D.J. for everything that he does! He's truly an invaluable part of our EG Home family.
Karen is an accomplished accounting professional who came to EG Home after taking 10 years away from accounting to raise her 2 kids. After graduating from Siena College, she began her career at IBM. At IBM she worked in many different areas of the business, including a year in internal audit which allowed her to travel, something she loves. She continued her career at Gartner, Inc. in Stamford CT before leaving after the birth of her first child. Karen volunteered at her children’s elementary school in the classroom, at school activities, and in the school library. She then worked at her town library where she enjoyed interacting with all the patrons and working with a wonderful staff. As her kids grew and she looked to get back into accounting, she found EG Home through an IBM friend. Karen started as a part time employee assisting in accounts payable, however she quickly established herself as a vital member of the team and now works full time managing all the Accounting systems and Human Resources all while loving a flexible schedule and her coworkers at EG Home.
Having represented buyers, sellers, and new home builders in Connecticut real estate transactions for 17 years, Robin brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the table. Robin's favorite part about working for EG Home is exceeding the expectations of buyers as they learn about the variety of options in floor plans, luxury features, and construction materials available to them. With all of these options standard in our homes, you can finally choose your perfect match. Robin especially loves sharing the exciting journey 'as we design, build, and deliver your dream home!' From start to finish, each step of the process ensures that all of your expectations are met. When Robin's not on site in one of our communities, you can find her trying to keep up and giggling with her energetic twins! She says that their enthusiasm for life and appreciation for the little things is what inspires her the most, and these values shine through in her work.
Kate is passionate about guiding our buyers through the fun and exciting journey of personalizing their new home. Kate's attention to detail and commitment to exceptional customer experience make her an asset to the EG Home team . She loves working closely with people to make their dreams come true, all while doing her part to make the build process as fun and smooth as possible. When Kate is working with a homeowner, she makes sure to nurture a genuine relationship that's built on trust. Because there are 'infinite details that can change how a home performs for the homeowner, the better Kate gets to know someone, the better she can help them make the best decisions. Outside of the office, Kate is just as vibrant and fun-loving: between keeping her two sons busy and working with her husband renovating their own home, she and her family love taking trips to the beach, hiking, and visiting friends and family out West.
There's so much to love about Ericka, but it's her passion for others and what she does that has made such a positive impact on both our team and our homeowners. Having worked as both an administrative assistant and a stay-at-home mom, Ericka is just as empathetic and caring as she is attentive and knowledgeable (and not to mention, fun and friendly). It's no surprise that she's such a pleasure to work with! When it comes to her role EG Home, Ericka has enjoyed every moment of learning about the building process and seeing how all of the pieces come together. She especially loves interacting with prospective homeowners and then getting to hand them their keys at the end of their journey. 'I love working with the people of EG Home,' Ericka says. 'We have an amazing staff and enjoy working with each other!' When she's not working closely with homeowners inside the office, you can find Ericka spending time with her 4 kids and attending their sporting events, band concerts, and dance recitals. The Yankees may be her favorite baseball team, but she loves watching her own boys play most of all! She also enjoys going to the beach and getting to read with her toes in the sand.
With her enthusiasm for the construction industry and willingness to help and learn, Kristie is a great addition to our accounts payable team. Kristie loves working with a team and making the construction process as seamless as possible. When she’s not assisting our team, Kristie enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the summer floating in the pool, and taking drives in her family’s classic cars. You can also find her at the football field, basketball court, or baseball diamond cheering on her two boys.
