We’ve designed our new home buying process to be clear cut, concise, and easy to follow — because your journey into to a brand new home in Connecticut should be just as enjoyable as everything that comes next.

You have a diverse set of wants and needs, which means you deserve a diverse set of home options. We’ll work closely with you to choose the home site, home style, and options that fit you perfectly. A returnable check will hold your lot until we can review the purchase agreement together.
Purchase Agreement and Financing
You’ll have 15 days to review all of the documentation. At the end of the review period, you’ll return to the office with your additional deposit for 20% of the purchase price. Our team will be by your side to answer all of your questions.
Your sales consultant will guide you on which type of financing is right for you. Depending on the community you’re purchasing in, you’ll be able to choose from: cash, a bank construction to permanent loan, or builder construction financing with an end loan. Your contract will include an addendum, which addresses the specific needs of your financing.
The place that you rely on for comfort and security, your new home in Connecticut should reflect what you love, inside and out. Within 20 days of signing your agreement, you’ll start the new home personalization process by reviewing and selecting the structural options you want for your home. Once these items are selected, your construction team can permit your home and place it into the production schedule.
Over the following weeks, you will meet with your personal design consultant at the EG Home Design Center to personalize your home by making your finish selections from our abundant and carefully curated offerings. Our knowledgeable and experienced team members will guide you through each of these decisions to create a home you will love for years to come.
You will select all of your finishes within 45 days of signing your purchase agreement. All selections and options require an additional 20% deposit paid per your agreement of sale or construction contract.
Once your design documents are completed and reviewed, a pre-construction meeting will be scheduled. You can choose an in-person or virtual meeting that introduces you to our construction team, who will be building your home. It provides details of your building process and answers any questions about the process you might have.
Welcome home! Your new construction home will be your base, your sanctuary, and your greatest source of comfort. From holidays and milestones to quiet, cozy evenings and backyard get-togethers, every experience in your new construction home — big and small — will fill your life with happiness. Your home comes with a robust warranty system. During the construction of your home, you will be given a username and password to EG Home’s website. Through this site you will be able to enter warranty claims so that they may be quickly resolved by the EG Home staff.
EG Home warrants each home for one year, with additional warranties extending to the mechanical and electrical systems for a period of two years. EG Home provides an extended six-year warranty through Residential Warranty Company (RWC). Standards of performance are included with your public offering statement or contract.
