Our mission here at EG Home has been to build homes for families as if we were building them for our own. That’s why our team prioritizes superior craftsmanship and exceptional customer care with every home we build. This week, we’re excited to throw the spotlight on our newest team member, Sales Consultant, Edite Calabrese.
What is your role and some of your responsibilities at EG Home?
I am a sales consultant. My responsibilities are to sell EG communities, keep current customers informed with construction updates, and help new customers through their structural design selections.
Tell us about your past work experience.
I have over 30 years of experience in the home building industry, serving as a sales and marketing director, design consultant, and broker. I am passionate about building excellent relationships with customers, builders, vendors, contractors, and agents.
What is your favorite part about working for EG Home?
EG Home’s standard finishes are above any other builder/company I have worked for. I was surprised to find that many of the included finishes are upgrades or options with other builders. Additionally, EG Home’s processes are very efficient, and we pride ourselves in meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
What are some of your interests or hobbies?
I love to cook, home design, garden, anything creative. The last few years I have been obsessed with having dinner parties and creating charcuterie boards. But mostly I love spending time with my family. My husband and I combined have three children and three grandchildren. My eldest son and daughter-in-law and their two children live in North Fort Myers, Florida. My other son and daughter-in-law live in Austin, Texas. And our daughter (who I say I got the easy way by marrying her father!) lives in Mason, Ohio, with her partner and our granddaughter. Once a year, we do a family vacation, and that is always the highlight of my year – just being together with all of them.
Is there anything else we should know about you?
I appeared on HGTV House Hunter’s in 2013 (Season 76 Episode 9!). It was a fun experience for both my buyer clients and myself.
I am a 5-year breast cancer survivor. I video journaled my journey, and it helped me tremendously. The videos also helped several women who were overdue for checkups/mammograms and went in for checkups and found an early diagnosis of cancer. One woman was MY sister-in-law. I created a hashtag for the videos… #CancerPickedTheWrongWomanToPissOff.
